Hojiblanca means Andalusia
The hojiblanca variety is named after the characteristic colour of the underside of the leaves, light and striking like Andalusia, the land of origin
Its olive trees number in the hundreds of thousands (approximately 260,000), and they are mainly found in the areas of Cordoba, Malaga and Granada, although it is also present in the east of Seville and occasionally in Almeria and other regions.
Due to the outstanding resistance of its olive trees, the hojiblanca variety continues to be planted regularly, allowing those in love with its flavour to enjoy it in each of the Siquev EVOOs that use it.
A very beneficial variety for health
The hojiblanca is an olive that is as beneficial to health as it is ideal for the production of SIQEV. Thanks to its high oleic acid content (over 75%) and the high presence of polyphenols, it is a delicious and healthy product in equal parts.
