As previously mentioned in these blog posts, in Spain many childhood memories are related to the shade of an olive tree, EVOO and the countryside – which are of great importance to us at QvExtra!, too. Today is World Earth Day and we would like to celebrate the Earth and all it has given to us.

World Earth Day
We cannot deny that Earth is responsible for each of our steps, the journey we have chosen, honouring the flavours of our ancestors in a bottle of oil. The Earth is the origin of our love for EVOO, the creation of the SIQEV seal and the start of QvExtra!.
Throughout time, the Earth, and our personal history, we realise that time stopped after the first time we walked through an olive grove and stood among the roots. The shadow our bodies cast on the Earth merged with that of the olive trees, in a type of dance in which the Earth was a canvas.
The sun shines through the trees and we remember the harvest as if it were yesterday. As if we could still brush against the first olive that touched our fingertips. As if we were still a child.
The smell and the space. That path through time that we walk along and the centuries-old olive groves we pray to every year.
We can still feel the Earth beneath our feet and an optimistic vision of the future, where time never ends – because there is no end.
On World Earth Day we want to celebrate the Earth and give it all the importance it deserves for being the creator of our time and our life.
