The event, supported by International Olive Council, will take place on 24 th September at the Palacio Diputación de Córdoba, with limited seating for 120 attendees.
The preview of the programme includes a presentation by Ms. Suelen Souza, Director of Health and Nutrition of the Danone Group, who will present the Danacol case, which has been a reference in our industry for years.
This will be followed by a presentation on the EFSA guidelines and general health claims. Finally, an important round table discussion, moderated by Herminia Millán, QvExtra!’s manager, in which the project “Declaration of health claim to Article 14 of Virgin Olive Oil Health related to the reduction of disease risk” will presented and in which Dr María del Carmen Millán, CSIC scientist responsible for the preparation of the technical dossier that QvExtra! presented to EFSA in April, Dr Miguel Ángel Martínez, Professor of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the University of Navarre and member of the QvExtra! scientific committee, AESAN and Ms Dulce Miranda, project collaborator from Deloitte.
THE OPENING
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, the Executive Director of the IOC, Jaime Lillo, the President of the Diputación de Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes Lopera and the President of QvExtra! Association, Soledad Serrano. The closing ceremony will be presided over by the Director General of Food, Mr José Miguel Herrero. After the event, all attendees will be invited to a lunch served by Casa Pepe de la Judería and Chef Periko Ortega, courtesy of the sponsoring companies Vetreria Etrusca and Arola.
